I bought a Marseilles dress a year ago & I still love it (stripes!). This summer saw a French-inspired collection (stripes again) & the new retro apron line, Boysenberry Pie. I'm selecting patterns & fabric lately, not designing a thing (although I used to tweak patterns). If you're not up to entering a competition or are looking to buy something ready-made, Shabby Apple is also having a sale. There's a dress for everyone. No fighting!

Hey Susan
the Suzy Parker image is lovely... although I'm glad we get to be a bit more relaxed about our clothing these days.... Love the white dress... does the bike come with it? haha...
Hope your weekend was fab enjoying all that electricity xxx Julie
I had vowed to buy no more dresses - I have to many dresses and not enough money. And now.... these links!! Ouch. Let me not click...
Julie--I do like that white dress, too. I nearly bought it earlier this summer but stopped myself. No incoming $ & too much going out. Plus, I am setting up to sew & that would be very easy (relatively) to do.
M-L--I know what you mean. But you could pass on to people you know or here's an idea: sketch a dress for them. I think you should...
Good thing about SApple is that they keep dress designs from year to year...they don't just drop everything. So there's always time. And if I reclaim my seamstress skills (though no tailoring--my mother can but I've not taken the classes), you never know what we might be able to work out. Seriously.
xoxo to both of you.
