Week's End - Leetle Feet

Am attempting to redo Giulia Geranium's template. That scream you hear might be me. Anyway, on GG there's a post on New York City Ballet's website, the children's section. Wow. I just printed out pages from the coloring book. (No, I'm not coloring them in myself, I'm sending them to a niece. Well, OK, I did color one. Zen.) If any of you want to entertain your children or yourself for nearly-free (using the printer means not totally free) this weekend, especially someone who might begin to pester you soon about The Nutcracker, give these a try. Meanwhile, aren't these the cutest little feet?

Back later....Update, nope. That's it for today.

They are adorable! My little one has been wearing her tutus over everything. Next week we're going to see the ballet perform Sleeping Beauty, and in a month The Nutcracker. I can't believe it's that time of the year already!

Julie--that was a wonderful bit of synchronicity, yes. JtheCat waves paw pad & we both thank you for the wonderful birthday gift that arrived late last week. So pretty. xo

Angie--I don't know if you'll see this so I'll send you an email as well. First, I know--that time of year already...I ain't ready. BUT, I hope that you did click through to the NYCB's children's site. A few people who see Giulia G's site emailed to say that they had downloaded the coloring pages & the children were really happy. For older children (including us:), there are crosswords, as well. Cheers.

welll- I read this post yesterday and I had to stop and think- Funny how just a few words can evoke a memory that is so vivid- NYCB- I time warped back to the 1970's- the smell of resin, of old buses rattling past the window. the smell of diesel, the cane wacked across my knees becasue I had "lazy knees"...

the talent scout...and the opputunity...

gosh it was so long ago...

I can't think of anything interesting to say, except that I love, love, love this photo.

Simon--ouch. I'm so sorry. One of my sisters went through similar...ballet world is brutal in many ways (as you know).

Mary-Laure & Vanessa--I love it too. That's all. The only reason I posted it was because I used it on Julie the Cat's blog to publicize free coloring pages on the NYCB website.

And Vanessa--you're interesting no matter what you say.

dont appologise! In life things happen (actually things did happen there that were a lot worse), its not what happens but how we react to it that counts :o)
