A Tea Party

"Of all the silly nonsense, this is the stupidest tea party I've ever been to in all my life"--Alice

Oh good grief. The news is so absurd that if it weren't so very dangerous, I might laugh.--a little. If you don't know what I'm talking about, congratulations. You have been in a dark theatre watching a totally cool (or dorky) film marathon. Here's what I'd like to know: what is your excuse for not inviting me?

Cheers to Maria Caterina who gave me early birthday gifts yesterday that are so super, I'm still dazed. I am indeed very fortunate--in spades.

I'm having computer problems, just in time for the laptop's first birthday. Of course. Deep breath. xo

Enjoy your birthday! I know this is early.
I don't want to forget, and I'm so great at that....

HA! What an excellent post. Just think what dear Alice would say in the face of this so-called "tea party" we are witnessing. Sometimes when I read about it, I too feel like running away and tumbling away down a rabbit hole.

When exactly is your birthday?
I'd love to send you a little card - email me your mailing address.

Funny, I just reread Alice yesterday!

Happy Birthday (early?)!

This really is bizarre news indeed. Um... the first link, not your b'day.

I hope the computer behaves itself.

Early...not yet...bday. I never announce when. I actually don't like it. But if you click the second link, you'll my lame pun re: friend's gifts to moi. xo

There seems no end to moral stances that can be struck in this country...schoolyard stuff.

I agree. I blew several circuits in brain by watching a Newt Gingrich piece on Obama. He isn't even living on earth any longer (Newtie, not the President)

I should keep up with your blog. Just noticed this great post and ha - I thought of this quote too, only later. I love your writing.

SFS--This quote, we can use it for so many things, of late...& with my memory problems, this is one that takes no trouble to access. Ugh. This after the day of that lunatic Christine O'D in Delaware. Folks at the Onion must be worried for their jobs. Sheesh. xo
