I was just going to write:

"Eddie, kees me goo' night!"

I have far too many Topo Gigio thoughts in every day life...it's positively ridiculous. OK, it's fun. but then I laugh (or sort of snicker) out loud on the Metro, etc. & you know...people will look, won't they?

The first foreign film my mother ever took me to see was "The Mouse That Roared," because she'd loved reading the book so much (which she'd checked out of our local public library). We'd never seen Peter Sellers before, and were absolutely blown away by his brilliance. Thanks for the walk down Memory Lane.

OTOH, I found the Topo Gigio-Ed Sullivan act just plain annoying -- a vanity act by Sullivan -- and recall wishing they'd stop wasting time and get on with some real entertainment!!!
