Carnevale di Venezia - Arancione

In haste & confusion I forgot to post a few photographs from Venice's Carnevale. These are also on the GG blog...orange (& one leaning to red but still...) From generous waxOr's photostream. Bella, bella. (And you are saved from more Keats & Camus. For now.)

Hey Susan
Red seems to be a popular choice in blogland this week so orange is a refreshing change!!..

I'd love to see carnevale.. but suspect the crowds might be a bit much!! Maybe one day... xx Julie

Those costumes are just so fabulous. I love the masks too and can't help but remember the movie" Eyes wide shut" with Tom Cruz and Nicole. The best part were the costumes!
Gorgeous!

There's such an air of mystery to you and your blog. I am intrigued!
All I know is that you're in DC, yet have all these lush and beautiful people pictured.

Hi there!
Thank you for your visit to my blog and leaving a comment!

Did you know that Washington DC has been my hometown for many years? I move to V four years ago.

Ah, Venice, how I missed not being there at this year's Carnevale! These are gorgeous pictures!

Did you notice that I have a few Venice pictures up too?

Are you digging out of the snow masses?
Bus stops shoveled free yet?

Cheers,
Merisi

So glad you were rescued from your no-heat pad. And glad you're home again, as well.

Thank you for stopping by one of my blogs and leaving a comment. Comments are a way of meeting new people.

I'm very pleased to meet a blogger who did not need comments, in order to blog. The whole issue of *Comments* can be a deep, dark hole. Can be. If it is allowed to become so.

I dislike that deep, dark hole and try to fight off the "need" for comments. Try... Do better some times, than other times. -sigh-

I really love those few, who have carved out a lovely, peaceful blog space... [At this moment, I can only think of one. But there must be more than just one.] Such bloggers choose to not have Comments. Because they do not want to have to spent too much time, on the whole business of blogging. On all that going and meeting and reading other blogs and commenting on them, etc.

But more to the point, IMHO, is the fact that they do not need the strokes, which getting comments, gives. How lovely! How wonderful! How all round relaxing.

Oh I do rattle on so. Excuse me please. :-)

Angie--I'll see you soon. Mystery? I blush. It's because I have 3 broken cameras & no hope of a new one soon.

I think I wrote back to everyone else...I'm hopeless at this comment thingy.
