My flower obsession is in full, um, flower. (Forgive me.) I have approximately one million things to do but I just spent many minutes looking at & for information on antique bulb glasses. I didn't find everything I wanted but there's always this afternoon/evening. There is actually an organization called Hyacinth Vases & it has many pretty photographs.
Kevin Lee Jacobs blogs for Garden Home Design; he has a good step-by-step for a variety of spring bulbs (& also many lovely photographs). I just realized I probably won't be able to grow the hyacinth as I don't have a spare fridge (I used to - it was very useful). So. Another plan. I hope everyone is having a good week...we're coasting down to the weekend as of noon (EST).

Nice indeed.. there is an English comedy called "Keeping up Appearances" and the ladies name is Hyacinch Bucket, (pronounced Bouquet..as she keeps telling everyone)...
So now (for me),Hyacinth Bucket is a play on a Hyacinth Vases, and will make me laugh even more when I watch it! ( am I making any sense at all?...I need my foirst coffee I think!)
Simon...Hyacinth is quite popular here. I nearly put in a frame of Patricia Routledge. But I hadn't thought of the play on the vessel name. You get many pts for that!
Hyacinths may be my favorite flower of spring. Their jeweled colors and sweet scent are mesmerizing.
Some Czech glass bulb vases would be gorgeous. I saw some recently and will be back to tell you where. When I remember. Cheers.
Ha ,it's ages since I thought of Hyacinth Bucket. Like you, I don't have a spare fridge so will just have to content myself with those rather straggly herbs on my windowsill. Lovely idea though. What's your other plan then?
